Potholes - we've been looking into them

The seemingly unending combination of wet and cold weather has wreaked havoc on roads throughout the County, but our local lanes have been particuarly badly effected. The County Council teams have been in the area working on this problem and have made good progress, but they rely on us as local residents to alert them to new problems as they occur. If you see a pothole that puts road users at risk, please report it. Don't worry that someone else might already have done the same. In fact the more people report a problem, the higher the priority it will be given.

Live music - at the Hailsham Pavilion
There's a great programme of live music and film (fresh from the Oscars) this month.

John Boden and the Remnant Kings. Saturday 2nd March 2013 7.30pm The team at the Pavilion tell us: "Previously seen at Spyboy shows with long time mate John Spiers and as lead singer and frontman of “Best Live Act” band Bellowhead, Jon Boden comes to the Pavilion this time with friends and fellow Bellowhead band members for what promises to be an extraordinary show."

Strawbs (acoustic) Saturday 16th March 2013 7.30pm."As The Strawbs move gracefully into their fifth decade of music making, it is still difficult to categorise the unique sound (originating in English folk music, rather than rock) that has made them Britain’s most successful international progressive folk-rock band."

Plus . . .in April Geno Washington and Martyn Joseph . . .
