Green Shoots - summer 2013 june/july

Good news, bard news.

As the 1st performance of The Merry Wives of Windsor draws closer, the Merry Village Players are glimpsed here putting the finishing touches to the staging. The players' quintessential performances on the green, complete with the incomparable backdrop of an evening skyscape, are not to be missed under any circumstances. From what we've gleaned, this show promises to be another outstanding success.

By the way, this is a 'bring your own seating, picnic, wine etc so that the players can play to an audience as ribald as any that might have turned up in Shakespeare's own time. And if you haven't yet got tickets, there may still be some available at 'The Stores'. The play on the green runs from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd June.
