Bodle Street Green Village Hall

The Bodle Street Green Village Hall was built and opened in October 1998 and provides a focus for village life with extensive facilities which can be hired by clubs, societies and individuals. The hall is the venue for festivals, a film society, musical performances, dinners, wedding receptions and services, to name a few activities. The hall is located at The Causeway, Bodle Street Green, Herstmonceux, BN27 4UB Further information can be found at their website.

The Chantry

The Mount Hermon Baptist Chapel in Middle Lane was purchased by it's current owner Sue Bowers 4 years ago (2006). Originally built in 1851, it has been fully restored and relaunched as THE CHANTRY, and is now available for weddings (licensed for civil ceremonies), parties, exhibitions and as a rehearsal venue for local amateur dramatics and choral groups. We also offer full wedding planning services with our "you give us the theme, we create the dream" package to make your day special. Dunn Village Hall

Set at the heart of Rushlake Green, the hall has been a focus for community activities in the village since it was built in 1934 by the Dunn family.   Today it is the setting for many activities and events, both large and small, including plays, musicals and pantomimes, concerts (it is the home of the Warbleton Brass Band), exhibitions, public meetings, wedding receptions and fund-raising events.  There are regular sessions for Women’s Institute, History group, Tai Chi, craft, and exercise and dancing classes.   In addition to the main hall, there is also a smaller room that can be used for committee meetings.   There is a well-equipped kitchen with a counter into the main hall.

The Studio

Located at Beech Hill Farm, on the edge of Rushlake Green, the studio is a light airy space, filled with peace and tranquility - an ideal location for anyone wanting to be creative or get away from the hustle and bustle. The French-doors open out onto the rolling High Weald hills of Sussex unchanged for centuries. And with a wood-burning stove to sit around and enjoy in the cold winter evenings, this open plan building has a contemporary feel that creates a comfortable and stimulating environment all year round. The studio is an ideal location for a family or for small groups to use, and is easily converted into a large open area.
