The Groovy Sounds event on October 6th was a tremendous success. The musicians performed dozens of well-known hits from 1968 and the capacity audience clearly enjoyed it if you could judge by the uproarious ‘joining in’ and the enthusiastic ‘getting up on the dance floor’.
Seemed like for many, the sixties was just yesterday – not fifty years ago. Huge thanks to all those involved both those on stage (exceptional, each and every one) led by George Georgiou,
and those that helped to put on the show including Josephine (leading Little Arts), Ian (the hair suited you), Louise on the door (cool dress), Inyca, Bill (we loved moustache) and Tom on the bar, Andrew (brilliant lighting) and Jonathan (beautifully mixed sound).
Great music – great crowd – great community spirit
