THE VILLAGE PLAYERS AND THE LITTLE ARTS FESTIVAL
The Village Players group was at the very heart of the first Rushlake Green Little Arts Festival in 2016 and was again one of the main contributors to the second festival in 2024.

For the 2016 Little Arts Festival, the Village Players events included:
– A drama workshop, where members of the community spent a day developing an improvised play, which was then performed in front of a local audience the same evening.
– A Live Radio play in which members of the Village Players not only performed a live reading of a radio play but also provided live old-school sound effects in the background.

For the 2024 Little Arts Festival the Village Players events comprised:
– Kids Acting up. A creative drama workshop for youngsters
– Can a Have a Word Please. A spoken word event combining poetry and prose readings by members of the Village Players, with an invitation to local poets and writers to share their work in front of a supportive local audience.
– Blue Murder at the Blue Parrot. An uproarious interactive murder mystery finale to the festival, in which the audience were invited to solve a ghastly crime.
