The Rushlake Green Big Jubilee Lunch was an outstanding success. And on behalf of all those who attended and enjoyed the day we would like to thank Louise Philps and her amazing team of organisers and helpers. Thank you to the Town Cryer; the Musicians; the Sound & PA Team; the Table Putter-outers and Setters; The Table Cloth Seamstresses; the Post Bangers and Bunting Hangers; the Hay Bail Bringers; the Coffee & tea Stallers; the Raffle Organisers; the Cake Bakers; the green Marker-Outers; the Classic car Owners; the Ice Cream Vanners; The Clearer-Uppers; the Financial Reconcilers and everyone else involved behind the scenes in what represented months of hard work and commitment by all concerned. On behalf of the community the Town Cryer also paid a special tribute to Tony, from the Village Stores, for keeping the shop open (without any personal break) and supplying essential goods and social support throughout the pandemic, when many others were not able to do so. Andrea Pickett was also thanked for her creation of the Black Shed pop-up stalls, that supported many local makers and sellers in a very difficult period. Altogether a wonderfully memorable day, bringing together the whole community of residents, devotees and friends from Rushlake Green and its surrounding communities.
