The Big Jubilee Lunch will be taking place on Rushlake Green, on Sunday 5th June from 12 noon. In addition to a very very long communal table, there’ll be picnicking, live music from the Warbleton Brass Band and The Yum Yums, David Logan on accordion, Tug of War competition, a fascinating classic vehicle display, photo of the day competition with a prize for best entry, and an amazing Charity Raffle in aid of the Children With Cancer Fund in Polegate.

The organisers say: “with a 1950’s theme to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, why not dress to impress and come in your 50’s gear! Just bring along your picnic and a chair/rug – we even have a vintage ice cream van with delicious treats for you to enjoy, and free tea, coffee and cake during the afternoon. Our generous sponsors enabling us to keep this event completely free of charge are: Warbleton Parish Council, Johnny Miller and John King (owners of The Horse & Groom), Batcheller Monkhouse, Foresters of Heathfield, The Treehouse at Marklye, Hughes Solicitors and The Little Arts. Please support them as they support us!”
