After an absence of nearly 2 years, The Village Players are busy rehearsing for their next production, the comedy “Local Affairs” by Richard Harris (of “Outside Edge” fame).

Clyde Young told us: “The show will be performed from Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27th November at the Dunn Village Hall and it is hoped that this will be in the popular Café Theatre style, although much will depend on whether any COVID restrictions are in place or not – hopefully not!  The Village Players Committee read over half-a-dozen scripts before selecting this one as they wanted to ensure that, as this will be their first performance since November 2019, this one will bring out the laughter in everyone! The play is about 3 couples who live on an estate of new houses which are all built identically. The action takes place in 1 living room, kitchen and bedroom which represents 3 different houses. Each couple have marital angst which plays out over the course of a day and evening although you will find out that there is a third person in each couple’s life!!”

More information such as ticket prices, timings etc will be disclosed nearer the time.
