Black Duck, Warbleton

We have lived in Rushlake Green since 1998 and in 2011 we bought this Freehouse 15th Century Inn (previously known as The Warbill-in-Tun-Inn).  We have completely renovated the property retaining its great character, we boast one of the best inglenooks a pub can offer and fire up whenever there’s the slightest chill!  We have opened up the gardens which now offer the most amazing views across the fields – whatever the weather!  Our Menu offers exceptional pub dishes and a whole lot more at very fair prices.  We are very much a pub, not a restaurant and we welcome drinkers and diners alike.  We do offer a “Ducklings” menu for little people but whilst we welcome children for lunch or dinner, from 9pm it’s really time  for the grown ups! Since opening we have enjoyed and appreciated the support of the local community.  Wherever you spring from, you will find a warm welcome, friendly service, excellent beer and fabulous food. Dogs on leads – anytime! Food Served Daily Tues-Sun. Closed on Mondays. Contact: Garry and Nicky Kinnell - 01435 830636

Merrie Harriers Pub & Restaurant

The Merrie Harriers Pub in Cowbeech is a 16th century listed building set within an area of natural beauty. Inside our pub you will find a restaurant area, function room and bar area that has a large inglenook fire, where dogs are welcome to join their owners for drinks and a bite to eat. Outside we have a patio overlooking our large beer garden with beautiful views of the Sussex countryside.  We source our produce from surrounding farms, our seafood is delivered daily, caught off the Sussex Coast and our game is supplied by local gamekeepers. A children’s menu is also available. Ben West, proprietor and Head Chef, brings his experience of over a decade of working in some of London’s finest restaurants to The Merrie Harriers –  Enjoy!
